Through twelve years of grade school I did not work to my potential. Organization was a struggle for me and my grades suffered because of it. Most of all, however, I did not like school. That changed through college though and now I have become particularly excited by the chance to help others figure out how they learn best! I particularly enjoy any subject relating to the humanities, such as history, philosophy, and sociology. I also love writing and speaking. While math and science are not my best subjects, I am more than willing to help your son or daughter work through the materials they have been given by their teachers. I have two prior years of tutoring experience at Luther Seminary, helping students learn ancient Greek. In addition, I taught beginning Russian to elementary school kids through an after-school program and have also led Bible studies for high school and middle school youth. I am very interested in research and was a Religion Department Honors graduate from Luther College as well as a paper-presenter last spring at the Upper Midwest Society for Biblical Literature Conference in St. Paul.
